What Is the Institutional Math Club?
It’s Mathletas’ olympiad training, put to work for your institution: we build a training group with the most talented students from 8th to 10th grade, and work with them all year so they represent the school in national and international competitions.
This isn’t a standalone course. It’s a program designed to build, over time, a math club the school can sustain and grow on its own.
How Does It Work in Practice?
- 4 weekly hours of live, online, 100% interactive training (2 classes of 2 hours).
- A qualified Mathletas coach leading the group, with real experience both as a competitor and as a trainer.
- A tutor assigned to the institution, meeting weekly with students to work on strategy beyond pure content.
- Weekly assignments, a discussion forum, original materials, practice tests, and access to the virtual classroom outside class hours so students can organize study sessions among themselves.
- An internal weekly ranking — to keep the competitive atmosphere alive all year, not just during competition season.
When competition season approaches, the teams that actually represent the school come out of this group.
Why Not Build the Club In-House?
You can. But training for olympiads isn’t the same as running a tutoring class: it requires real competition problems, individual follow-up, and someone who’s actually competed at that level. That’s exactly what we bring — we don’t replace the school, we give it the structure and coach that would normally be either very expensive or impossible to find in-house.
